BEST PLACE TO WORK OUT WITH YOUR KIDS
VILLASPORT
This health club goes way beyond the old room in the back where you warehouse the kids while you work out. Instead, the VillaKids program here engages them in music, dance or other structured activities so you can cycle without guilt.

BEST NEW FAMILY ATTRACTION
IT’Z
iT'Z combines the high-end video games of Dave & Busters with the kind of thrill rides we miss from JoyRides, the carnival games of Manitou's Arcade Amusements and an elaborate Golden Corral-style buffet. It's sure to ensure fun for kids 5 to 17 and exhaustion for parents of all ages.

BEST FAMILY FUN CENTER
MR. BIGGS FAMILY FUN CENTER
The Bigg man certainly has some tough competition with iT'Z. But Biggs continues to play with a wider assortment of toys: from the Little Bigg Town, where toddlers can pretend they're bakers, princesses or explorers, to the LaserJam arena, where teens and tweens can take on their parents with laser guns.

BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR THE ACTIVE SET
ARTSPORTS
Sometimes, you need to pry those game controllers from your kids' hands and get them bouncing. And nobody does the big bounce like ArtSports, home of the 100-foot-long, in-ground trampoline, promoted as the largest foam block pit in the country, and extreme swings and bungees that will get the kids feeling like Spider-Man.

BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR BUDDING ARTISTS
ARTFUL ADVENTURES
This place has a cool alternative to those horrid goodie bags parents feel required to buy all the guests. Instead, they all get to create their own piece of art as they paint pottery they can take home.

BEST PLACE TO SPARK IMAGINATION
THE IMAGINATION CELEBRATION
Born as an outreach program of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the local initiative has grown legs even the folks in Washington never would have expected. The Imagination Celebration regularly holds kid-centered arts events at the Pikes Peak Center, does countless programs in the schools and has a regular outlet for fun and imagination - Celebration Place - in The Citadel mall.

UNCLE WILBER
From Memoral to Labor Day weekends, this moving, spraying, musical piece of art on the southwest corner of Acacia Park attracts huge crowds of kids and plenty of screams. The contraption was designed, built and donated by the Smokebrush Foundation.

BEST PLACE FOR TEENS
EAST TEEN CENTER
As an ETC blogger says, this place gets a three-smiley-faces rating. Sure, it's in a library, but it's packed with teens just hanging with friends, having snacks, playing video games and music, watching movies and working on fun projects in the computer center. There are special events, too. No adults allowed without a teen.

BEST OUTING FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

We thought our zoo was amazing even before it opened its new $8.2 million Rocky Mountain Wild exhibit - a place to schmooze with mountain lions, North American river otters, lynx, bald eagles and grizzlies.
