E11 CREATIVE WORKSHOP
E11's summer camp features all the bells and whistles of its preschool and after-school programs — a mini “makerspace” with recycled materials, low-temp glue guns and tiny tools; a stage; a sandpit; and ever-changing sensory-friendly play stations — plus classic childhood summer experiences like ice-cream making and daily opportunities to splash in the creek. E11 is owned by Maria and Alain Navaratne, special needs parents who show my developmentally disabled son the greatest of care. Alan once spent an afternoon holding my son's hearing aid-like device so it didn't get wet while he splashed in the creek. How's that for above and beyond?
