AIR FORCE ACADEMY FALCON
The Academy's cadet wing is represented by Aurora, a rare gyrfalcon who came to the school in 1996. The flying mascot is trained and handled by cadet falconers. Voters said: “So cool to see it fly at the football games,” and “All of Colorado can be proud of the Falcons! (and the cadets treat their mascot royally. That is really important for the animal's welfare.”
