Commonwheel Artists Co-op's Labor Day Arts and Crafts Festival, Sept. 5-7 in Memorial Park
I’d been searching for a bird feeder to hang from the eaves outside my living room window (voila, TV for cats!), but because I wasn’t sure how the show would play on the flip side, it needed to be something I wouldn't mind looking at if birds blew it off. I found exactly what I wanted — a feeder that’s also sculpture — at Manitou's annual Labor Day juried art show and emporium. This three-day outdoor fest is free to attend and features painters, potters, jewelers, glass artists and more, plus live music, food vendors and a mini-beer garden.
