Blue Star Recyclers
Save Mother Earth and don't send old electronics to the landfill. Here's where it can be safely recycled and Blue Star has been busy, recycling 1 million pounds of old electronics in 2018. What makes this even more special is that the workers employed here have disabilities and they've developed into a crack team able to tear down electronics in a flash. And they love their work. Blue Star has become so successful, it's opening a Chicago site this year which could employ 50 disabled workers within three years. It's also taking its business model to foreign countries where there is required electronics recycling, disabled workers will be trained.
