Who Gives A SCRAP
Who Gives A SCRAP isn't an arts and crafts supply store, it's a new way of looking at, and upcycling, the castoffs of a wasteful society. Since the donation-based shop began collections in 2015, its two locations in Colorado Springs and Fort Collins have diverted about 133 tons of clean, reusable materials from county landfills. Those materials include a full range of craft supplies, fabric, scrapbooking paper, used books and sewing patterns, as well as bins of junque you can mine for one-of-a-kind project gems. The shop also hosts a full schedule of youth and adult arts and crafts classes and, each year, co-sponsors a swap-style event to help teachers outfit their classrooms on a tight budget.
