Savory Spice Shop
With more than 400 spices from which to select, this is the spot for serious cooks to shop orfind gifts for food connoisseurs. Think of it as a candy store for chefs and cooks. Dick and Mary Frigg opened the shop 10 years ago to the delight of Colorado Springs culinarians. The aroma of the shop is intoxicating with smells of ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and all spice. What we like most about the store is that you can buy small quantities of spices, which can be used while they are fresh instead of going stale in the cupboard. They offer cooking classes too. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.
