Wander well

Thank the late Manitou Springs city planner Paul Intemann for perhaps the best tour of of our mountain backdrop. After his death in 1986, volunteers went on to build the trail he envisioned, visiting the area’s many natural splendors: forests, creeks, red rocks and peak views. The Intemann Trail spans 6 miles one way between Manitou and Section 16’s popular trailhead. That trail’s overlook is one great detour, along with Manitou’s Red and Iron mountains and Red Rock Canyon Open Space.
